Like all limestones, Emerson will fade when used outside or when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Dolomitic limestone with prominent veining that can be used for many interior and exterior applications. Low absorption. Hard, dense and durable. Naturally occurring, small holes are visible. Like all limestones, Emerson is affected by acids. No detrimental effects on the environment. Large piece sizes are available.
Depending on the application, impregnating sealers may be required. Contact us for information regarding the use of sealers, impregnators, cleaning, etc.
Polished – more shiny and reflective than honed.
Bush Hammered – small, round marks give this a dotted appearance with light relief.
Honed – an extremely smooth, eggshell finish. Achieved with the use of fine diamonds.
Smooth Sanded - more dull and rough than honed with subtle machining marks.
Sandblasted - muted appearance in a flat, gritty finish.
Split-face - a cleft, split finish. Highly textural.
